By Capsule Community
The idea for a community-based Zine was born out of creating at the intersection of art, nature and community.
We love the idea of quarterly zines that correspond with the changing seasons -- just like the natural world, we all contain different versions of ourselves at different times of the year, and during those times the art we create represents who we are and where our feet are in the moment.
The spring edition of the Capsule zine features words, poetry, art and photography, featuring artists from our community, spanning all across the world, all connected by the common threads of love for nature and community.

This pocket grounding guide is the perfect way to incorporate daily grounding techniques and practices. The guide includes a step-by-step guide, as well as lessons on the importance of grounding.
Living in a nature deficit means we no longer spend time connecting with nature like communities past. Part of fostering that connection includes grounding practices: connecting to the earth on a daily basis to recharge and realign our energies. The inspiration for the guide came during darker winter months, when it becomes more difficult to be outdoors. The guide is timed for the coming of warmer months and provides inspiration to connect back with the Earth.

Special Edition Capsule x Toronto Flower Market Collaboration
Welcome to the Summer issue of the Capsule zine – a special edition done in collaboration with the Toronto Flower Market. If our winter issue was the birth of a new community art collective zine, then our third issue is our blooming edition, working in beautiful partnership with our community, to create space for even more voices and art to be shared, as widely as possible.
Collaborating with the Toronto Flower Market was an ideal next step, and our way to truly walk the walk of creating a community zine; where spaces and ideas are shared, and different communities are connected, taking our smaller community circles and creating an even larger one. Community is the anecdote to scarcity, and we dream of a world where community, connection and art are a never-ending source of abundance.
This zine focuses on blooming, earth connections and summer dreaming, all themes central and woven throughout the summer season. It’s a time for play, loving and living to the fullest, and of course making art. In Mother Nature's maximalist season, we find so much inspiration for art and connection – to nature and each other.

Special Edition Capsule x Special Bird Service Collaboration
The idea for a community-based Zine was born out of the intersection of art, nature and community. We loved toying with the concept of leveraging our platform as a space to create and inspire, for our own unique voices and ethos, but also for our community. There are so many talented writers, thinkers, artists and storytellers in our communities with little or no access to platforms to tell their stories and share their ideas and work.
Using the backdrop and themes of winter, night and starlight, the zine features words, poetry, art and photography, featuring artists from our community, spanning all across North America.
